DICT übergibt Laptops an drei Gemeinden in Iloilo

Die Provinz Iloilo hat drei Gemeinden Laptops vom Projekt ACTIVATE des Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) erhalten. Die Gemeinden Janiuay und Cabatuan erhielten jeweils acht Laptops, während Badiangan neun Laptops erhielt. Ziel dieser Maßnahme ist es, die lokalen Mikro-, MSMEs zu unterstützen, indem ihre Produkte auf digitalen Plattformen und Online-Marktplätzen beworben werden.

Der Übergabezeremonie stand DICT-Unterstaatssekretär Leandro Aguirre vor, der die Bedeutung der lokalen Unternehmer für die Teilhabe an der digitalen Wirtschaft betonte. 'Hopefully this will allow Ilonggos na to be able to not just participate but to be able to put their products online para po these can be made available across the entire country which will benefit not just those MSMEs but it will benefit the LGUs, it will benefit the province, and it will also benefit those that can now enjoy these products,' sagte Aguirre.

Aguirre fügte hinzu, dass die Hilfe für die drei Gemeinden nur der Anfang der Umsetzung des Project ACTIVATE in der Provinz Iloilo sei. Das DICT sei offen für die Ausweitung des Programms, um weitere Laptops und andere Ressourcen bereitzustellen.
